ROSS' TEAL LAKE LODGE offers you a variety of sizes in accommodations, from smaller one-bedroom cabins to huge big family homes ideal for reunions, or meetings. They are listed Types A through F for ease in understanding the rates - but they are each a little different. THE RATE SHEET identifies how many are included in the base rate. Each description identifies how many each home will actually sleep.
Many people have favorites because of location, facilities, or memories. Please tell us your choice and reason so that we can understand what you consider important, and we will do our best to place you. To some people, a deck is more important than the number of bathrooms, to others the view from the kitchen rules! While we do not usually guarantee specific guest homes for shorter reservations - less than three days in spring and fall, and less than five days in summer - we do guarantee a minimum requested size, with enough bed space for your group. We guarantee a price even if we place you in a unit larger than you requested.
Heat in the smaller units is electric baseboard, the larger units have normal forced air furnaces. Fireplaces, real ones that burn real wood), are in all Type B through F units (firewood is provided free with your cabin). Fans & Air conditioning had been considered unnecessary as we usually have a nice breeze off the lake, and we expect cooler nights. All units are designed with cross ventilation. As we remodel and update, many units now have ceiling fans. Floor fans are available upon request. However, a couple of our larger units do now have central air conditioning - you will find these listed in their descriptions. If this is important to you, please specify when reserving.
Refrigerators, microwaves, & coffee pots are in all units. Type B through F have full kitchens, but the Type A only have a mini kitchen, with no stove or dishes, etc. Full Kitchens include normal size refrigerators and stoves, pots, pans, plates, glassware, silverware... all the tools to make a meal (if you need a bigger pot, just ask the big kitchen). We also provide dish soap and towels. No food items are included so make sure to bring salt & pepper and coffee. Linens and Towels are provided to all units, both bathroom and kitchen, with enough towels for the number of people as we are expecting. We will also be happy to bring old towels and old bedcovers for the four footed members of the family. Swim towels are available in the office for your use. Please return them to the laundry basket in the office. Daily housekeeping service takes care of beds and bathrooms, and brings fresh towels. Every third day there is a sheet change, unless you choose not to have one. Housekeepers are not responsible for the dishes if you are cooking for yourselves. A couple of our year round units have dishwashers, so be sure to check if this is important to you. You can expect all soaps and cleaning products to be in the cabins, although we do not supply personal amenities such as shampoo. |
