Balsam
Under magnificent virgin hemlock trees, Balsam is between cabins Tamarack and Butternut, only a short walk down the hill from the Main Lodge. Balsam has a nice lake view perched on the edge of a steep incline to the lakefront with a perfect spot to have campfires outside at night. Lake access is not immediately in front of the cabin but docking is easily shared with cabins on both sides. The entrance to Balsam is ramped, and easily accessible throughout.
| Larger One-Bedroom Guest Home With Lovely Lake Views | This log vacation home, with the original varnished logs visible inside in the bedroom, has a newer spacious lakeside log octagonal living room incorporating sky-lighted kitchen, living room with fireplace with views through long windows 180 degrees around. The dining table is in front of big slide-by picture windows providing a lovely through breeze, in addition to a ceiling fan. The living room couch is a hotel quality double sofa bed. The bedroom has a king size bed, and an additional twin bed. The bathroom is through the bedroom and has a hand-held showerhead. (originally put in so a returning guest could wash the dog but good for humans too!)
Very comfortable cabin for young families.
Also a good cabin for people with mobility issues, can drive car up to door, ramp/2 steps inside.
